diagnosis and nonspecific clinical findings. However, pancreatitis represents a
complication in chronic inflammatory conditions like leishmaniasis. Further studies
on pancreatitis as a complication in dogs with leishmaniasis treated with MA are
warranted and underway. Despite our inability to definitively prove a link in this
study, it is advisable that dogs being treated with MA should be evaluated for
pancreatitis, especially when compatible clinical signs are present.
