hotel has 16 snug rooms (a sea view costs rather a bit more - £140 for a double) and a
country-house restaurant (mains £12-17; 8-10am, 12.30-1.20pm & 7-8pm) with wooden fire-
place and antique tables and chairs. The kitchen is supplied by a huge organic garden
around the back, and the menu includes home-grown salads, local seafood and Scottish
beef and lamb.

is set in an attractive, modern timber building on a working croft, with stunning views out
to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles. Rooms are clean and functional, and the well-equipped
lounge/kitchen area has an open fire. It's at the northern end of the island - to get here,
continue along the road past the abbey for 1.5 miles (a 20- to 30-minute walk).
Getting There & Away
The passenger ferry from Fionnphort to Iona (£4.80 return, five minutes, hourly) runs
daily. There are also various day trips available from Oban to Iona.
