Whale Watching
The waters off the west coast of Scotland attract large numbers of marine mammals, from
harbour porpoises and dolphins to minke whales and even - though sightings are rare -
humpback and killer whales. Whale-watching boat trips ( Click here ) from Tobermory on
the Isle of Mull tend to run from April to September because of the weather (whales are
easier to spot in calm conditions). Basking sharks can also often be spotted on these trips.
