Glasgow Cathedral
The only cathedral on the Scottish mainland to survive the destructive period of the Re-
formation intact, Glasgow Cathedral ( Click here ) is a superb example of Scottish Gothic
architecture, almost all of it dating from the 15th century. The most atmospheric part is the
forest of pillars around St Mungo's tomb, but no visit is complete without a stroll through
the neighbouring Necropolis, one of the most impressive and picturesque cemeteries in
Scotland.
