4 THE WOMBAT
There are some lovely reminders of traditions on the vessel, including that of the Wom-
bat, still on view in the anteroom of the Wardroom - the officers would give the poor
stuffed animal many a hammering during after-dinner batting games. And look for
coins placed beneath the foot of each of the three masts, as payment to the angels for
guiding the vessel safely at sea.
5 ROYAL DECK TEAROOM
During your visit you can enjoy delicious home-baked treats and tea served in bone
china in the Royal Deck Tearoom while looking down on Prince Phillip's famous yacht
Bloodhound , now lying alongside Britannia . On a clear day you'll have wonderful
views across the Firth of Forth towards the hills of Fife.
