achieve in HCI and how this could enhance the current UX practice. Both methods
could be merged to provide a best-of-both solution.
The changes that should be tracked and analyzed range from simple design iter-
ation of the UI to more complex revisions, as is the case of the transposition from
graphical UI to tangible UI, from desktop to mobile (or vice versa), or from one
cultural background to another (e.g., when localizing a product).
Both the methods (HE and SA) could be used not only on the interaction sentence
level but also as for a general appreciation of the entire UI. During the general analysis
only portions of the UI are selected and suggestions made to other similar parts of
the UI. Traditionally, these methods have been employed for goal-oriented work
applications. However, they can be also applied to a range of different applications,
including entertainment applications, where the goal is not always clearly defined, in
a static or mobile setting.
