is not irritating. Navy is deep, and serious. White was chosen also for its contrast
features on a darker background. (See Figure 8.37(b).)
Discussion/conclusion.
The hypothesis was not supported by the results. Only one Chinese respondent chose
yellow for the foreground; white was not cited at all. The results were based on
practical, as well as emotional reasons. Interestingly, both the Chinese and Czech
respondents shared black, while blue and navy was chosen as second. Lime was
chosen as second in the Chinese group, but almost omitted in the Czech group.
