8) What is your English language level?
Results summary.
Almost half of the Chinese respondents (45%) stated they had an upper-intermediate
level of English (corresponding to the B2 level according to the European framework),
35% declared an advanced level (C1), and 20% had an intermediate level (B1). In
the Czech sample, 35% stated they had an intermediate level of English (B1), 35%
stated they had an upper-intermediate level of English (or B2), and 30% declared an
advanced level (C1). (See Figure 8.4.)
Discussion/conclusion.
Our intention was not to verify the level of English language per se, but to see whether
there is a relation between the level of English knowledge and the understanding
