3. Press Q or click the Quick Mask icon in the toolbar to turn it back on. Use a white
or black medium soft-edged brush to improve the selection of the feet.
4. Press Q or click the Quick Mask icon in the toolbar to turn it off. Click the Layer
Mask icon at the bottom of the Layers panel; this shows the chimpanzee on a
transparent background. Command/Ctrl-click the New Layer icon to add a layer
below the chimpanzee. Choose Edit > Fill > Contents > White, and click OK ( Fig-
ures 1.34 and 1.35 ) .
