Don't worry about painting too far onto the wardrobe, as we can use the saved
selection of the children to remove that very easily.
14. With the uppermost layer selected, Shift-click the layer directly below it so that
both rim light layers are highlighted. Place them into a group by going to Layer >
New > Group from Layers. Name this group rim light . Then go to Select > Load
Selection, choose children cut out from the Channel menu, and click OK.
15. With the children selection active, click the layer mask icon at the bottom of the
Layers panel. This adds a black layer mask but fills the selection of the children in
white. The result is that the rim light we just painted is visible only within the chil-
dren ( Figure 9.73 ) .
