15. Repeat this process to darken the baby doll and the teddy bear. Because the top of
the teddy bear is in the bright part of the scene, add a layer mask and with a black
medium soft-edged brush, paint away the darkening effect from the top half of the
teddy bear ( Figure 9.47 ) .

Adding the Children
With the miniature room prepared and the toys added, we can now bring the children into
the scene.
1. Open the children file, make a selection, and cut them from their original back-
ground using a layer mask. Add them into the room scene using the same tech-
nique as you used for the toys. Resize them using Edit > Free Transform, and
move them to the front of the wardrobe using the Move tool ( Figure 9.48 ) .
