2. To soften the outline of the cutout and help the doll blend in with the scene, press
the Option/Alt key to reveal the layer mask, choose Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur,
and add a radius of 1 pixel of blur. To return to the picture of the baby doll, Option/
Alt-click the layer mask.
3. Go to Layer > New > New Group from Layers, name the group Baby Doll , and
click OK. Then do one of the following:
With the Move tool (V), click the Baby Doll group and drag it on top of the Room
tab. Wait for the Room file to become visible, then drag the Baby Doll group into
the room.
or
Go to File > Save As, and save the baby doll as a Photoshop (.psd) file on your
desktop. Go to the Room file, choose File > Place Embedded (File > Place in earli-
er versions of Photoshop), navigate to the baby doll file on the desktop, and click
OK.
4. Go to Edit > Free Transform, and while holding down the Alt/Option and Shift
keys, use the transform handles to resize the baby doll proportionally. Use the
Move tool (V) to position it in the lower-left side of the scene ( Figure 9.27 ). Press
Return/Enter.
