8. Leaving the path in place, go to File > Place Embedded (File > Place in earlier ver-
sions of Photoshop) and navigate to the sky.dng file. Click OK to open the file in
Camera Raw. In the Basic tab, increase Clarity to +35 and Vibrance to +35. Click
OK.
9. The sky.dng file will now be on top of our landscape picture but needs resizing.
Shift-Option/Alt-click a transform handle in the top right or top left, and drag out-
ward until the sky file completely covers the landscape as it resizes in the same
proportions. Click OK. Using the path we created earlier as a guide, and with the
Move tool (V) selected, Shift-click the up arrow key until the mountains in the dis-
tance are just above, as in Figure 8.9 .

10. Add a layer mask to the sky layer ( Figure 8.10 ) by clicking the layer mask icon at
the bottom of the Layers panel.
