5. We can now go into Refine Edge to pick up all of those fine flyaway hairs. Click
the Refine Edge button at the top of the screen in the Quick Selection options ( Fig-
ure 1.7 ) .

6. Now you'll choose how you would prefer to see the image when working on your
cutout. When I'm working on a cutout that will eventually be placed in a bright
scene like this one, I tend to favor On White, which can be found in the View
drop-down menu ( Figure 1.8 ) . Conversely, when the background scene is going to
contain lots of dark areas, I favor On Black.
