Shadows
It's the combination of highlights and shadows that makes flat and uninteresting photos into
moody and atmospheric ones. In this technique, we'll take away light and create shadows.
Figure 3.45 is not the most exciting image, but it's perfect for our purposes. We're going
to imagine that sunlight is coming from the horizon, meaning that the wall and grass in the
foreground would be in shadow.
