The depth of pavement surface varies, but the subsurface design should be
the same, with the storage and infiltration bed depth a function of the soil
infiltration rate and the inflow surface volume. At present, the longest record of
construction experience is available with the porous AC pavement, in use since
the mid-1970s [3, 4].
