8am to 2.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 2pm Friday
Central Post Offices
7.30am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 2pm Saturday, 9am to
1.30pm Sunday

8pm to late

Restaurants
1pm to 3pm (lunch) and 7pm to 1am (dinner), though most restaurants in
central Athens and tourist areas stay open all day in summer.
Shops
9am to 3pm Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, 9am to 2.30pm and 5.30pm to
8.30pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (5pm to 8pm in winter). Most major shopping strips
in central Athens are open all day; in Plaka and tourist areas, until about 11pm. Department
stores and supermarkets 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm Saturday.
