In-Depth Information
Keramikos & Gazi
Like a beacon, the illuminated red chimneys of the old Athens gasworks (Tech-
nopolis) lead you to Gazi, the city's best nightlife district. Cool restaurants, bars
and nightclubs alternate with museums, theatres and art spaces. If you go by foot
from Thisio via pedestrianised Ermou you pass Keramikos, the archaeological
site of the city's ancient cemetery and home of another excellent museum.

Getting There
Metro The Keramikos station (blue line) pops up in the centre of the Gazi neighbourhood. Parking is atro-
cious, so certainly use the metro.
Metro To reach the Keramikos archaeological site the Thisio station (green line) is a hair closer...just walk up
Ermou to the site entrance.
