Dora Stratou Dance Theatre
TRADITIONAL DANCE
Every summer since 1965, this company has performed its repertoire of Greek folk dances
at its open-air theatre on the western side of Filopappou Hill. Formed to preserve the coun-
try's folk culture, it has gained an international reputation and some of its costumes are mu-
seum pieces. It also runs folk-dancing workshops in summer. The theatre is signposted
from the western end of Dionysiou Areopagitou; the daytime box office is at Scholiou 8, in
Plaka.

Sunday flea market
(Ermou, Thisio; dawn-2pm Sun; Thisio, Keramikos) takes place on Ermou
starting at the entrance to Keramikos all the way towards Thisio Park and Gazi. Traders peddle their motley wares,
while bargain-hunters scour through the aisles in search of that special something. This is the place to test your
haggling skills.

the back if you want to catch a glimpse of the glowing edifice.
