In-Depth Information
Filopappou Hill & Thisio
Filopappou Hill, also known as the Hill of the Muses, offers the best eye-level
views of the Acropolis. The sedate Thisio neighbourhood, just to the north, blos-
somed after cars were banished to make way for the pedestrian promenade.
Young Athenians have claimed the cafe precinct that emerged under the Acropol-
is and the low-key residential streets make a nice change from the more heavily
touristed centre.
