Vancouver also has one of North America's most vital classical-music scenes, with
chamber and choral groups particularly well represented. Favorites include the Van-
couver Bach Choir, whose Messiah sing-along is a Christmastime legend; the interna-
tionally renowned Vancouver Chamber Choir, which covers everything from jazz to
avant-garde; and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, which effortlessly draws serious
music fans and first timers with a stirring mix of classics and 'pops'. Jazz is also well
represented at the Cellar Jazz Club, an ever-popular spot for intimate muso nights.
Vancouver hots live music events throughout the year with summer the best time for
some outdoor tunes. Among the most popular events are the Vancouver International
Jazz Festival ( Click here ) and the Vancouver Folk Music Festival ( Click here ) .
