Richmond & Steveston
Explore
The handy Canada Line SkyTrain link has made the region's modern-day Chinatown
much easier to reach from downtown Vancouver, which means Vancouverites have
been visiting their southern neighbor more often in recent years. Hop aboard and head
down the line for a culturally immersive half-day of bustling Asian shopping malls -
centered on the Golden Village area - followed by a taste-trip through authentic
Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese restaurants. And don't miss the city's historic water-
front Steveston village. This is a charming, museum-full area that's popular with
sunset-viewing locals...especially those with a penchant for great fish and chips.

Top Tip
Coming from Vancouver on the Canada Line, alight at Aberdeen Station, then explore
the streets to the next stop, Lansdowne. This is the heart of the Golden Village.
Getting There & Away
» Train Canada Line trains trundle into Richmond from Vancouver every few minutes.
It's a two-zone fair from the city and the journey from downtown Vancouver to central
Richmond takes 15 to 20 minutes, depending on where you're stopping. Make sure you
board a Richmond-Brighouse train in Vancouver or otherwise you'll be heading to the
airport; you can change to the correct train anywhere up to Bridgeport Station.
» Bus For Steveston, first take the Canada Line train to Bridgeport Station, then trans-
fer to the 401, 402, 407 or 410 bus. Your transit ticket covers you for both parts of this
journey.
