WHISTLER MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK MOUNTAIN BIKING
OFFLINE MAP GOOGLE MAP
( http://bike.whistlerblackcomb.com ; base of Whistler Mountain; 1-day pass adult/child $53/31;
mid-May-mid-Oct) Colonizing the melted ski slopes, this lift-accessed summer park of-
fers an orgy of jumps and beams on 200km of forested trails. You don't have to be a
bike courier to stand the pace: easier routes are marked in green, while blue intermedi-
ate trails and black diamond advanced paths are for those who want to Crank It Up - a
popular route.
Outside the park area, regional trails include Comfortably Numb (a tough 26km with
steep climbs and bridges); A River Runs Through It (suitable for all skill levels, it has
teeter-totters and log obstacles); and the gentle Valley Trail, an easy 14km loop that en-
circles the village and its lake, meadow and mountain chateau surroundings - this is re-
commended for first-timers.

The resort's official equipment supplier runs several gear rental outlets around town. It
also offers online reservations, so you can choose your look before you arrive. And if
you're a newbie on the slopes with about as much experience on skis or a snowboard as
you've had as an astronaut, you can also book lessons.
