DRINKING & NIGHTLIFE
The North Shore isn't a great place for a destination night out, but there
are some standouts worth pulling over for (with a designated driver, of
course).
RAVEN
PUB
OFFLINE MAP
(

;
1052 Deep Cove Rd, North Vancouver; 11am-midnight; 212)
This
instantly welcoming Deep Cove joint effortlessly mixes blokey barflies and twenty-
something lads within an inviting interior illuminated by red-glass candleholders. But
it's not just about looks. The Raven serves great pizzas - the pesto chicken is recom-
mended - and has a beer list with top BC quaffs by Storm, Phillips, Driftwood and
Howe Sound Brewing. To be honest, the beer selection is good enough to make this
your local wherever you might live.

SeaBus from Waterfront Station)

polished concrete floors and industrial ducts, it's a bit spartan, but lively chat from the
MacBookers warms things up.
Save time to peruse the artwork in the adjoining gallery. Typically of the challenging,
thought-provoking kind, the shows change every month.

JUICE BAR
(

;
106 W 1st St, North Vancouver; 10am-6pm Mon-Fri, to 5pm Sat & Sun;
; SeaBus from Waterfront Station)
Tucked just off Lower Lonsdale, this eclectic little
cafe - just look for the yellow bike suspended in the window - is a bright and cheery
smoothie bar. Pull up a telegraph cable table (actually don't: they're quite heavy) and
