Jericho Sailing Centre caters to sailing veterans and newbies who want to learn the
ropes. The are several boats available for rent - the super-fast and easy-to-sail
Hobie
Getaway
is fun - and lessons (including weekday evening introductory courses) are
also offered, some tailored specifically for kids.

One of the city's
best indoor pools is on the UBC campus. It's a bit of a hike from downtown and stu-
dents take precedence in the water, so you'll have to plan your visit around them -
check the website for schedules. If you negotiate those obstacles, you'll find a 50m
pool, saunas and exercise areas for public use.

Tucked inside UBC's giant Pacific Spirit Regional Park, this popular
and attractive course has been luring locals of all skill levels for 90 years. The tree-
lined 13th hole will have you reaching for your camera, and there's a driving range and
an excellent clubhouse restaurant - as well as the cool BC Golf Museum behind the
17th tee.
Book at least one week ahead to be sure of a spot.

aquatic community, this bustling center is home to several operators that can teach or
rent equipment for those interested in everything from surfing to sailing. There's also
an on-site resto-bar (with a great water-view patio) for relaxing at the end of the day
and exchanging stories about your ocean-going shenanigans.
