saltwater outdoor pool provides one of the best dips in town. It has a designated kids'
area, where young families often teach their sprogs to swim, plus some lanes so you
can practice your laps.

local snorkelers and scuba divers, the Diving Locker is not just for experienced practi-
tioners. Along with its regular series of PADI training courses, there's a great introduct-
ory course ($100, including equipment) for first-timers. There are also specialist kids
courses for aquatically inclined youngsters.
WINDSURE ADVENTURE WATERSPORTS WATERSPORTS

those who want to be at one with the sea breeze, Windsure specializes in windsurfing,
skimboarding and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) rentals and courses for a variety of
skill levels. Prices are reasonable (for example, one-day skimboard rental is under $25)
and the venue is inside the Jericho Sailing Centre, home of the city's recreational aquat-
ic community.
Novices are more than welcome here: the two-hour windsurfing introductory group
lesson ($55) is recommended. There are also lots of classes and activities for kids.
