Lonely Planet's Top Tip
The Blo
del Conservatory ( Click here ) in Queen Elizabeth Park helps Vancouver-
ites escape their winter blues. It's hard to avoid the city's gray-skied cold season

climate-controlled garden is a much cheaper alternative. Step inside on a chilly
day (expect your spectacles to fog up) and you'll find tropical flowers, a balmy cli-
mate and bright-plumed birds strutting about as if they're in a far warmer region.
