vegetarian (mostly vegan) noshery is beloved of local coolsters, but it's sometimes too
busy for its own good. Arrive off-peak for attentive service - they're sometimes rushed
off their feet otherwise - and you'll have your pick of the retro-cool mismatched
Formica tables. Among the hearty house-made soups and veggie burgers, the heaping
Utopian Nachos is the standout.
Perfect for sharing (but hard not to be one that hogs it all), it's best accompanied by a
jug of Storm Brewing beer, made on Commercial Dr.

The hidden back patio here is ideal for a drowsy late breakfast on
the weekend - go with the apple and goat cheese omelet. Alternatively, drop by in the
evening for all the Main St local gossip (and a good-value pitcher of BC-made beer) at
a candlelit table. Starving? Go for the velvety slow-cooked lamb shank.
