the place is tiny, but this unassuming-looking sushi joint just off Main is the best place
in the neighborhood for Japanese dining. Expect to line-up (try your best to arrive off-
peak) before tucking into outstanding fresh-made dragon rolls, crunchy tempura and
succulent sashimi platters: order a selection and everyone at the table will be delighted.
The service can be hit-and-miss - they're sometimes overwhelmed by the crowd -
but this family-run joint is usually all smiles.

vegetarian restaurants soon after its 2012 opening - hence the sometimes long wait for
a table - the Acorn has since settled into being a dependable, dineresque joint for veget-
arians looking for something more upscale than a mung-bean soup kitchen. Consider
artfully presented dishes like beet ravioli and the excellent, crunch-tastic kale caesar
salad.
Vegan and gluten-free dishes are also available here and they're never just an after-
thought. And consider dropping by late Friday or Saturday to shoot the breeze with loc-
al veggie-types: the bar is open until 2am and there's a special late-night, tapas-style
menu.
