(1002 Commercial Dr; 11am-6pm; 20) Just when you think you'll never find that
combination licorice and hula-hoop store you've been searching for all your life, here it
is. A perky little spot with a serious commitment to the love-it-or-hate-it candy, there
are 65 varieties here - including an entire row of salt licorice. Work off your candy
belly with a hula-hoop: they'll even teach you a few moves.
There's also a carefully curated array of nostalgic candy, including ruby-red Wax
Lips and a few treats that only those from the Netherlands will ever have heard of. And
if licorice doesn't meet all your nutrient requirements, pick up some quinoa waffle
cookies: they make them in the kitchen out back.

echo of the Drive's counterculture heyday, this is the bookshop to pick-up the latest
copy of Proletarian magazine. But it's not all revolutionary fervor. The sky-blue stacks
include art and cookery tomes - with new and used volumes mixed toget her - along-
side their 'Labour' and 'Philosophy & Political Economy' sections.

( www.audiopile.com ; 2016 Commercial Dr; 11am-7pm Mon-Sat, noon-6pm Sun; 20) This
little local-fave record store takes a no-nonsense approach with its basic racks of well-
priced new and used vinyl and CD recordings. Perfect for that rare Velvet Underground
(or not-so-rare Suzi Quatro) album you've always wanted, make sure you check the
bargain CDs near the entrance where there are plenty of tempting steals for just $2.99 a
pop.
This is the perfect location for a rainy-day rummage and the staff really knows their
stuff: quiz them on Half Man Half Biscuit albums and see if they flinch.
