sidered approach. Start with a mixed platter of samosas and pakoras then graduate to
the excellent lamb rogan josh.
It's a good idea to share a few dishes here - note that there's a Northern Indian feel to
much of the menu.

( www.falconettis.com ; 1812 Commercial Dr; mains $10-22; 11:30am-1pm Sun-Thu,
11:30am-2am Fri & Sat; 20) A local legend that's expanded far beyond its grungy, hole-
in-the-wall start, Falconetti's is still famed for its house-made sausage hot dogs. You'll
come here for a beer - Storm Scottish Ale (made just down the street) recommended -
but it's a crime not to sink your teeth into a Hot Italian with fries. In summer, aim for a
rooftop patio perch.
The menu, like the establishment, has expanded in recent years, with burgers, steaks
and a popular weekend brunch added to the mix. There's live music here most nights

proach to a great night out. If you like what you scoff, there's also an adjoining take-
home sausage deli counter.

ing bison tartare), as well as a weekend brunch, but the freshly shucked bivalves in a
candlelit setting are what most come here for.
Check the website before you come for buck-a-shuck specials and happy hours. And
ask about BC wines: there are usually several top tipples to choose from here.
