( 604-687-7455; www.silkweavingstudio.com ; 1551 Johnston St; 10am-5pm; 50) Al-
most hidden in a back alley maze of shops, this little spot turns out luxurious, hand-
dyed silk dresses, blouses, scarves, shawls, lingerie, belts and hats in a rainbow of col-
ors. Visitors are welcome to wander through the small waterfront studio and watch the
weaving process in action. Silk yarns and fabrics are sold, too. If you're here in June,
check out the annual exhibition of top weaving work.
You'll find the studio tucked down a nameless alley under the bridge.
