Peer through the windows at this family-run artisan glass studio and you can watch the
team blow and twirl their stuff. There are plenty of works to purchase in the adjoining
store. And you don't have to just watch: for $35 you can create your own spangly
flower masterpiece under the guidance of experts.
Additional intensive classes are offered if you're more serious, or you can take the
easy route: buy something in the shop and tell everyone back home that you made it
yourself.

This classy West Coast
chocolate emporium is based across the water in Victoria, but this is their flagship Van-
couver store. Try not to lick the dark wood shelves as you peruse boxes of delectable
treats that will never make it back home as souvenirs (and you know it). The rich Vict-
oria Creams are the signature here: maple, coconut and maraschino cherry are highly
recommended.
You'll likely be offered a sample or two (especially if you look like you need cheer-
ing up) and there's also icecream if you want to pick up a cone for the road.

who works on his shiny trinkets at this cozy little island studio. Wife Carole also cre-
