Yaletown is where the city's wealthy set come to sip martinis and ex-
change lap-dog stories. You're sure to find something worth checking out
amid the warehouse renos. Granville Island offers several bars ideal for
winding down in after a day spent weaving around the Public Market and
artisan stores.

Roundhouse) Possibly way too cool for Yaletown, this smashing communal-tabled
lounge is perfect for a few glasses of wine and a plate or three of cheese and charcuter-
ie. But the real reason to come here is to emulate the art lining the walls: head to the
back-room studio and you can use the supplies to paint your own (perhaps slightly
tipsy) masterpiece.
There's an instructor on hand to offer tips and you can even keep your drink with you
for added inspiration. Smock provided.

dining room on the other. Both serve pints of beer made on-site, but the restaurant adds
a long menu of comfort foods. Check to see if there's an unusual small-batch beer on
offer, and if there isn't, instead hit one of the mainstays: Brick & Beam IPA is recom-
mended. Beer nuts should drop by at 4pm Thursdays for cask night.
If you really want to try something out of the ordinary, ask about the eye-popping
Oud Bruin. It's guaranteed to put hairs on your chest, but only if you finish it. In sum-
