In-Depth Information
( www.mapledelights.com ; 385 Water St; 8am-7pm Mon-Fri, 10am-7pm Sat & Sun; Water-
front) It might seem like a chore but if you have to pick up souvenirs for all those
greedy friends back home, this is an ideal one-stop shop. Canadian Maple Delights spe-
cializes in all manner of maple-syrup-flavored goodies (think maple sugar, maple tea,
maple-leaf-shaped candy, maple-tree-growing kits etc). It also stocks vacuum-packed
salmon for those who don't have a sweet tooth.
You'll find several additional large souvenir stores nearby if you want to get your list
covered off in a single afternoon. Just don't buy the moose-dropping chocolate candies:
they're not funny and they're not clever. Go for a T-shirt that makes jokes about
beavers instead; that's much more sophisticated.
