Of several culinary-themed strolls that have emerged in recent years, the Guilty Pleas-
ures Gourmet Tour by Vancouver Foodie Tours is arguably the best. Your engaging host
will lead you on a diverse sample-heavy stroll around downtown, taking in tastings at
Chinese, Japanese and gourmet sandwich joints, plus a wine tasting and a finale finish
at the city's best gelato shop.
There are also tours around the city's food-truck scene worth trying out ($49). Make
sure you wait a couple of days to work up an appetite again.

this popular downtown sword-play school offers thrilling classes and workshops for
kids and adults that show you how to wield everything from rapiers to broadswords.
There's also a small on-site museum (entry by donation) covering the history of
weapons, armor and heraldry.

5) Vancouver is a good city for on-bike exploring, but if you're not great at navigating,
consider a guided tour with this friendly operator. Meet at Spokes Bicycle Rentals and
you'll soon be trundling around the city. Tours last from two to five hours and range
from a grand city tour of local neighborhoods to a cool public-art trail.
If you're feeling peckish, the food tour is the way to go - it includes sample-heavy
visits to food trucks, Chinatown and Granville Island Public Market. Bikes and helmets
