In-Depth Information
Loop trails are uncommon for most rail-trails, but this path gives you the best of both
sides of White Clay Creek.
Along the way, the trail connects to several longer, steeper hiking/biking trails
that cross the Mason-Dixon Line into Pennsylvania, but staying near the creek will
keep you on the course of this rail-trail.
DIRECTIONS
To begin at the center of the trail, take State Route 896 (New London Road)
northwest out of Newark. Turn right onto Wedgewood Road and follow it to the
end. Parking is on the left, and the trail goes north and east of the parking lot.
Parking at the nature center can be reached by taking State Route 896 (New
London Road) northwest of Newark. Turn right onto Hopkins Road after you
pass the main entrance to White Clay Creek State Park, and follow the signs to
the nature center. From there, backtrack on the road to the trail across Hopkins
Road.
