In-Depth Information
As you continue the climb, Dave's Snack Shack is a welcome respite at mile 9.
Proprietor Dave Lewis offers cold drinks, a comfortable seat in the shade, and a gen-
erous helping of local lore. This is not to be missed. As the trail approaches its end-
point near Reedsville, the grade flattens and the woods give way to wetland areas that
feature cattails and red-winged blackbirds.
For those not accustomed to rail-trails that require hard pedaling, you can start
on the Reedsville end and enjoy a pleasant ride downhill into Morgantown.
