Other Wildlife
Taiwan has a host of reptiles including a wide variety of beautiful but deadly snakes. Liz-
ards, frogs and a long list of insects including stag beetles, cicadas and stick insects can
be found anywhere where there's a bit of undisturbed land.
Marine life (whales and dolphins, as well as corals and tropical fish) is abundant on
the offshore islands and the east coast where the rich Kuroshio Current passes. You can
see corals in Little Liuchiu, Green Island, Lanyu, Penghu and Kenting National Park.
