coal-burning Taichung power station was the biggest CO2 emitter on the planet, with
yearly CO2 emissions from the one plant alone roughly equal to the emissions of
Switzerland. To date, it remains one of the most polluting coal power plants globally.
So while it's fair to say that Taiwan has made great strides on the environmental front,
it's clear that more remains to be done.
