níu'ròu
miàn
(beef noodles) is cooked in the traditional Kinmen way. It's just off Minzu Rd
down an alley across from the county stadium.
Shou Ji Kuangtung Zhou

While
Chinese rice porridge hardly makes an instant hit with Western travellers, this well-loved
restaurant has been ladling up bowl after bowl of fabulous Cantonese-style congee for
the past 80-plus years. Locals favour the
zhū dù
(pig stomach) congee but there are other
varieties available.

This place is extremely
funky, with walls covered in political art representing both sides of the cross-Strait con-
flict. Set meals are great value and rather tasty. The menu features hot pot, rice dishes
and a fair amount of pseudo Western fare.
