Getting There & Away
AIR
The airport, south of the city, connects seamlessly to downtown by KMRT. Domestic and
international terminals are joined and you can quickly walk from one to the other.
There's a visitor information centre in each terminal. Staff speak passable English and
can help with hotels, tours, MRT travel, car rentals etc.

Siaogang International Airport Terminal has flights to most Southeast Asian countries,
here.
BOAT
from Kaohsiung to Makung, Penghu (NT$860, 4½ hours). The schedule changes every
three months and is unreliable in winter. It's best to go directly to the ticketing office to
check the schedule with them and buy tickets on the spot.
