Ya Jiao Seafood Restaurant SEAFOOD $$$
MAP
(Yājiǎo Huóhǎichǎn Diàn; 22 Miaoqian Rd, Cijin Island; 10.30am-11pm) For fresh seafood the
locals recommend Ya Jiao on Cijin Island. It's the kind of place you go to eat freshly
cooked seafood or sashimi, drink cheap beer, and be loud like the locals. Just tell the staff
how much you want to spend and they will arrange dishes for you. Try the stir-fried
clams with basil ( tǎ xiāng hǎi guāzǐ ) and blanched shrimps ( báizhuóxiā ).
Drinking & Nightlife
Cafes, tea shops, fruit stalls and the like are everywhere. Along the Love River, outdoor
cafes offer shade in the daytime and stay open into the late evening. Some serve beer at
night. Fisherman's Wharf has a row of outdoor bars; Wufu-4th Rd, a traditional pub
street, is looking very tired these days.
