Getting There & Away
BUS

HIGH SPEED RAIL
The HSR station is a 30- to 40-minute drive or bus ride south of the city centre. Trains to
Taipei (NT$1350, two hours) leave every half-hour.
TRAIN
Tainan is a major stop on the Western Line with fast/slow trains to Taipei (NT$738/569,
four/5½ hours) and Kaohsiung (NT$106/82, 30 minutes/one hour).
Getting Around
TO/FROM THE AIRPORT & HIGH SPEED RAIL
Bus 5 connects the airport with City Bus North Station (NT$18, 20 minutes). HSR
shuttle buses connect HSR station with City Bus North Station (free, 40 minutes, every
20 minutes).
