Also called Dorm 1828, this hostel is a magnificent choice comparable to
midrange digs. In addition to a variety of cosy dorms (both mixed and female-only) and
rooms, it has nice furnishings, strong rainforest showers, a fully equipped kitchen and a
relaxed communal area with blue-and-white checked floor tiles. The owner, Jasmine, has
unlimited tips on outdoor activities.
To get to the hostel, go to the rear exit of Tainan train station, follow Dasyue Rd and
turn right when you see a Hang Ten boutique shop. The hostel is at the end of the lane.
The walk is about 15 minutes.

A popular budget hotel just a stone's throw from Chihkan
Towers (down the back alleys). The newly renovated rooms are small but bright, and a
small breakfast is thrown into the deal. From the corner of Chenggong and Jhongyi Rds,
head south. Look for the turn for Lane 233 about 50m up on the right.
