Shueishe Village VILLAGE

(Shǔishè Cūn) People often refer to Shueishe Village as Sun Moon Lake Village. The area
by the Shueishe Pier (Shǔishè Mǎtóu) is a great place to hang out. Lakeside walking
paths extend from the village in either direction. Going east you can walk all the way to
Wenwu Temple.
Meihe Garden MAP (Méihé Yuán) , on a ledge above the village, is a heavenly spot to
hang out on a sunny day (and the night view is pretty charming, too).
Sun Moon Lake Ropeway CABLE CAR

(Rìyuètán Lǎnchē; return NT$300; 10.30am-4pm weekday, to 4.30pm weekend, closed 1st Wed
every month) The seven-minute, 1.9km ride offers an unparalleled bird's-eye view of the
lake as you rise into the nearby hills. The gondola terminates at the Formosan Aborigin-
al Cultural Village (Jiǔzú Wénhuà Cūn), an amusement park-cum-culture venue.
