lodging on tatami mats. Reserve in advance. Meals and drinks are also available.
The cafe is 2.5km up Township Rd 67 (the road that connects with Pingding) off
Provincial Hwy 3 in Huben.
Getting There & Around
During the butterfly migration period a free shuttle bus (8am to 4.30pm) runs
from Linnei train station to Chukou on weekends. If driving, take National Fwy 3
south and exit at the Linnei Interchange. Head east on Provincial Hwy 3 and look
for signs for Huben Eco Village, Pingding or Linbei Village Chukou.
Shopping
Lukang offers great shopping if you're in the market for original crafts. Down near the
end of Zhongshan Rd is a row of old furniture makers, still plying their trade in such
items as sedan chairs for carrying touring gods. Just browsing is welcome.

(Wànnéng Xípù; 777 7847; 81 Longshan St) The master here is in fact a fourth-generation
tinsmith. His elaborate dragon boats and expressive masks cost thousands but are worth
the price for their beauty and craftsmanship.
Mr Chen's Fan Shop HANDICRAFTS

(Chéncháozōng Shǒugōngshàn; 777 5629; 400 Zhongshan Rd) The shop is just on the right
before you enter the pedestrian-only area near Matsu Temple. Fans range from a few
hundred dollars to many thousands for the larger creations. Mr Chen has been making
fans since he was 16.
