Getting Around
Transport is reasonably priced and covers most of the country. In mountain areas and out-
er islands your own transport is best.
Train
Trains service the north and both coasts; High Speed Rail down the west serves the
main cities. Four small tourism branch lines extend into the interior.
Scooter & Car
Useful for touring at your own pace, staying at B&Bs, and exploring na-
tional parks and Taiwan's scenic backcountry. Rentals widely available. Drive on the right.
