This country-quaint guesthouse just outside town is
the
place to stay in the Yuli area. The
house sits in an orchard high above the Rift Valley, looking across to Chikha Mountain.
Rooms all have their own character, and are flooded with light. The owner, a Buddhist
and former hotel manager, has made a true retreat here.
If you're driving, the turn-off for Wisdom Garden is at the Km289.4 mark on Hwy 9.
Just follow the signs from here. If you make prior arrangements the owners will pick you
up from Yuli train station.

in a 100-year-old former police station, this teahouse offers simple meals and drinks with
very friendly service. To reach the shop, head straight out from the train station and turn
left on Zhongshan Rd.
Getting There & Away
Frequent trains run from Hualien to Yuli (fast/slow train NT$190/146, one hour and 20
minutes/two hours).
