Eating
Near Sheng Shing train station or the museum there is no end of places to eat and drink
traditional Hakka fare such as mountain chicken (
tǔ jī
), fried tofu and
kejia xiaochao
as
well as
lei cha
. Most places have picture menus.
Getting There & Away
There are hourly afternoon trains from Taipei (NT$228, 2½ hours); 7.05am and 8.17am
trains (NT$77, one hour) from Hsinchu; and hourly trains from Taichung (NT$50, 30
minutes).
